Gala Fine Art is a roving online contemporary art gallery established in 2015 by Kate Bignold and based in Bristol, UK. It represents an exciting group of emerging, mid-career and established British and international fine artists at art fairs, pop-up exhibitions and online. All of Gala Fine Art’s artists are painters selected for their distinctive creative styles. Some combine painting with other processes, such as screen-printing, collage, photography, photographic transfer and drawing. All place considerable importance on colour, whether their work is bold and vibrant or subtle and muted.
Gala Fine Art’s artists exhibit regularly throughout the UK and internationally in solo and group gallery shows, including major jury-selected exhibitions such as the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition in London, the Annual Open Exhibition at the Royal West of England Academy in Bristol (England’s only regional Royal Academy of Art) and the Society of Women Artists Summer Exhibition. They win or are shortlisted for a host of prestigious art awards, including the BP Portrait Award, the ING Discerning Eye prizes, Artists & Illustrators Artist of the Year and the Columbia Threadneedle Prize for Figurative Art. Their work is well received at art fairs around the world.
BUYING ART BY OUR ARTISTS
To browse all the art we currently have for sale, please visit our artists’ pages. We also curate online and pop-up exhibitions during the year. If you are interested in buying a painting but are hesitating because you would like to see it in the flesh first, please get in touch to make an appointment to visit the artist’s studio or to try the piece at home (this service depends on where you live). If you can’t see exactly the piece you want, please note that most of our artists welcome commissions to create new paintings.
If you buy an artwork but are not completely happy when you receive it, you have seven days in which to return it to us, in the same condition as you received it, for a full refund. Return delivery charges are payable by you. Please note that despite our best efforts, the colours of the original paintings cannot always be reproduced 100% accurately in digital form or in print.
We think art should be for everyone, so we do our best to help make art more affordable! We therefore offer tailor-made instalment plans: simply put down a 40% deposit and spread the remainder of your payment over a maximum of 10 months (deposits and instalments are payable by bank transfer by arrangement with the gallery, not via the website). Your purchase will be shipped to you as soon as we have received your deposit!
